This is a story that all moms(dads, grandmas, and grandpas too) can appreciate.

In 1997 Rhea Lana Riner, mom of three and wife, found herself needing to contribute to the family income but was no longer working full-time. For two years prior an idea had been framing in her heart and mind. Her plans were drafted to invite moms to get together and sell each other's kids clothes. Rhea Lana assembled her modest list and sent out invitations for her first Children's Consignment Event and to her excitement, moms came. The first sale started in her living room and each sale thereafter expanded throughout her house until she finally had to rent a space to continue her bi-annual seasonal sales. Soon the foundation was set to serve families and the community with love and integrity through Children's Consignment Events. From the very beginning Rhea Lana's Inc.(now an upscale Children's Consignment Event business) has been built with tools that we can all appreciate honesty, integrity, positive attitudes, relationships, friendships, innovation, consistency, honoring people, excellence, and fun. As Rhea Lana's Inc. has continued to grow there have been requests for remodel and expansion; starting in 2006 other moms wanted to take Rhea Lana's to their communities using the same tools and as of the end of 2011 Rhea Lana's had 90 locations in 25 states. After 20 years of experience Rhea Lana's has "hit the nail on the head", upscale children's consignment that is easy and fun.

Tell me again, how does this work?

We receive HIGH QUALITY childrens clothing on consignment and sell them at our week-long event. Consignors earn 70% of the sale price (which they select). We GUARANTEE all lost items that are labeled in the store. Consignor's checks and reports are available on Pick up Day directly after the sale. Our most popular brands are Matilda Jane, Hannah Andersson, Kelly's Kids, Naartjie,Crew Cuts, Gymboree, Hollister, American Eagle, Gap, Baby Lulu, Polo, Baby Nay and Cach Cach. Our most popular toys are Little Tikes outdoor playgrounds, Race Car beds, Kitchens, Doll Houses, Tool Benches, Barbie Jeeps, and Brio wooden train sets. We also carry beautiful nursery furniture and bedding, car seats, strollers, high chairs, exer-saucers and walkers.

Do you carry only childrens clothing?

No. At our events we carry children's furniture, nursery bedding, maternity clothing, nursing accessories and infant equipment (such as strollers, high chairs, car seats and portable cribs.) We also carry high quality toys, books, video games and sports accessories. We are excited for this opportunity to continue out efforts to help meet the needs of your family and to stretch your family budget!

Most consignment stores give 40-50%. Why do you give 70-80%?

Our consignors are very special to us! We believe our consignors deserve a fair price for their items and we want each consignor to make the most money possible to benefit their family. In addition you have the option to donate your unsold items to those in need in our community nationwide. I look forward to us making a difference for families in Georgia together.

Why do you guarantee each item?

We value our consignors so we track each item with our unique computerized barcode system and database. We seek to treat our customers and consignors as we would want to be treated.

We think more items will be available to moms on a budget if we are careful with the items. Plus, some ladies are not willing to risk losing some items. This way they know they will not suffer a loss. Consignors know that they can TRUST us with their high quality items!

Why is your event better than having my own garage sale?

We do most of the work for you! You just prepare your items and bring them to the store. We do all of the advertising and staff the event. At the end of the sale you simply pick up your check, detailed inventory report and neatly-sorted items. We'll even have friendly workers there to help you and answer your questions! Plus, you will make lots more money than you would at a garage sale.

Why do you emphasize EXCELLENT QUALITY so much?

No one wants to sort through, much less BUY, low quality items for their children. It is a time waster for everyone to put worn, stained, out-of-date items on a rack. That's why we insist on accepting only high quality items. This becomes a little subjective as each person has their own idea of high quality. We don't want to be clothes snobs but we do want to encourage consignors to only bring their name brand, excellent condition clothes. It makes the events more profitable and successful for everyone.

Why did you put together a web site?

We have had our website online for approximately 20 years. When we developed our unique barcoding system and online data entry system, many moms did not yet have computers in their home. If they did, they were just beginning to learn to email and use the internet! Moms have learned to love entering their items online and tracking their sales throughout our events! Rhea Lana's gives them control in pricing their items and makes it very easy to make a great profit.

What kind of control does a consignor have over her items?

Several things:
1. She can select the price of each item.
2. She can choose whether she wants to sell some items for half price on the final sale days.
3. She can track the sale of each item on this website or on our new Mobile Ap!
4. She knows we are taking care of her valuable items; she can pick it up, be reimbursed for it if lost, or donate it.
